We are blind people who believe that blindness does not hold us back from living the lives we want. We welcome you to come and join us. Acquaint yourself with our chapter, and our work on behalf of Kansas City's blind.



Meeting Information

The Kansas City Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Missouri holds monthly meetings, generally on the second Saturday of each month. However, since there are occasional changes in the   date, time,  and location, make sure to read our News & Announcements section below or contact President Garcia by phone or email for timely updates. .

Meeting Time: 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Meeting Date: Second Saturday of every month.

News & Announcements



  • We will have our National Federation of the Blind of Missouri Kansas City Chapter 2024 Walk for Independence 5K Walk at Loose Park on May 11. Registration Starts at 9 am, and we will start walking at 10 am. After the walk, we will go to the Westport Branch Library, and we will have our chapter meeting from 2 pm to 4 pm. Contact President Garcia to get more information about how to participate in this event or make donations.  #NFBKC24WALK
  • During our May 11 meeting, we will have a guest speaker, Howard LaRue, 

    Director of Clinical and Rehabilitation Services at Alpha Pointe.
