NFB Newsline for the Blind

Having access to newspapers is vitally important. For this reason the National Federation of the Blind developed NFB Newsline for the Blind, a service which lets a blind user read his local newspaper or obtain information such as television listings using a telephone, or via e-mail. Available Missouri Newspapers

Nine Missouri newspapers are currently available on Newsline for the Blind. They include:

  • Columbia Daily Tribune
  • Jefferson City News Tribune
  • Kansas City Star
  • Missouri Keeping Up
  • Saint Joseph News Press
  • Saint Louis American
  • Saint Louis Dispatch
  • Southeast Missourian
  • Springfield News Leader

Television Listings Now Available on NFB Newsline

In addition to being able to read nine Missouri, and over 100 nation-wide newspapers users can access television listings via NFB Newsline. By telling NFB Newsline how you receive your television signal, your location, service provider, and time zone NFB Newsline will retrieve TV Listings for you.

Registering

Anyone who cannot read printed newspapers due to blindness or a physical disability is eligible to receive NFB-NEWSLINEŽ. Missouri residents can Register for NFB Newsline by contacting the Wolfner Library for the Blind.
