Saturday March 22, 2008: Lewis and Clark Chapter to host 46th Annual National Federation of the Blind

of Missouri State Convention

The time has come to make plans to attend the 2008 National Federation of the Blind of Missouri State Convention to be held in St. Louis at the Crown Plaza Airport Hotel the weekend of March 28-30, 2008. Our Lewis and Clark Chapter will host this year's convention. Those who attend NFB state and national conventions find them to be a life-changing experience. They afford one the opportunity to make new friends, learn how to live independently as a blind person, and to set high expectations for themselves and to meet successful blind role models and to share their own experiences with others. Among the many activities to occur are break-out and plennery sessions, the annual convention banquet which features a dynamic address by the national representative, the awarding of College Scholarships to outstanding blind students, and a chance to learn about new technology and programs for the blind.
